Rotary website privacy policy

Rotary is committed to safeguarding your privacy online. We use the information we collect about you to be able to send you communications about your entry to the Ironman UK via a Bonded Athlete place. This communication may be either electronically or otherwise. In addition we may send you information about Rotary. The Personal Information is information that enables us to identify you such as your name, title, address and email address.

What personal information does Rotary collect?

Rotary collects the following information regarding visitors to our website:

How does Rotary use my information?

Rotary uses the information to be able to send you communications that may be of interest to you either electronically or otherwise and to help us with understanding more about how our site is used.

Who is collecting my information?

When you are using the Rotary websites and are asked for personal information you are sharing that information with Rotary alone unless stated otherwise. For example, you are going through to a partner company when you are using our secure online donation pages. It is clear on the donation page when you are going through to this partner site

With whom does Rotary share my information?

Rotary will not disclose any of your personally identifiable information except when we have your permission or under special circumstances such as when we believe in good faith that the law requires us to do so. When you are using any of our secure online donation pages or payment systems you are going through to a partner company and the information you give such as your debit or credit card number and contact information is provided to them so that the transaction can take place.

We may make individual identifying information available to the Ironman UK race office. Rotary does not sell on lists to others.

What are my choices regarding the use, collection and distribution of my information?

If you indicated that you are interested in receiving information about Rotary we will send you communications regarding Rotary's work and activities either electronically or otherwise.

Rotary does not sell or provide user information to anyone.

What is Rotary's policy on allowing personally identifiable information to be collected, updated or deleted?

While we strive to protect your personal information, Rotary cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission we make our best effort to ensure its' security on our systems. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
